Innovative Converged Devices (ICD) has entered the market with their mobile internet device (MID) with the straightforward name, Ultra.  ICD has created the device, in cooperation with Nvidia, Moto and Verizon.
ICD Ultra is one of the smallesr gadgets to hit the market.  It has a 7-inch touchscreen display that uses resistive technology, with a resolution of 800×480 or 1024×600 pixels, 4GB of internal memory, running under Google Android version 2.0 (Eclair), with an expandable microSD slot.  It will be running on 512MB of RAM, and 512 MB ROM, USB 2.0 interface, and extras include Bluetooth, HDMI-out and a 1.3-megapixel camera.
It also has a 3.5mm audio jack, accelerometer, light sensor, built-in microphone and FM tuner, with a Motorola 4G LTE modem and an NVIDIA Tegra T20 chip which includes a processor, memory and grahics rendering on a single die, known as a “system-on-a-chip.”  It has a battery life of up to 4 hours.
The prototype running Android 2.0 was said to have run “blazingly fast when it came to 1080p playback and web browsing.”  The ICD Ultra is described as looking like a Digital Photo Frame.  The integrated 3G SIM will keep it continually connected.  It has a 4G radio inside from Motorola and can stream 1080p video, as well as swipe through music, photos and movie titles.
The radio, audio jack, and dual digital microphones are definitely a plus.  The microSD card slot allows for expansion and the tablet uses an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and more.
This device is based on Nvidia Tegra and incorporates a 4G LTE modem made by Motorola for highspeed connectivity.  According to Verizon, with the 4G LTE service, the frames can accept different kinds of content, remote and real time video.
