iSlate Hacked

Although Steve Ballmer beat Steve Jobs to the punch, I am not really seeing too much of a difference between both of the devices shown. Now, because the iPad has been shown to the world, and the specs have been released. Im begining to wonder since the major rumor of it being the iSlate was wrong, now I am wondering if a lot of the other rumors that were not found to be true, have caused the iPad to not be too much different than has been prototyped so far by Microsoft.
Was Apple under pressure to release something too soon? Possibly not containing all the bells and whistles we had been expecting. The battle of the HP Slate and the Apple iPad has comenced.  Has Apple lost the tablet PC race, only time will tell.
